Terms & Conditions
How EPL Appliance Repairs quotes, attends, and warrants in-home appliance repairs — including the 3-month spare-parts warranty we send by SMS, and how we handle personal information.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
These terms apply to EPL Appliance Repairs (Electro Power Link). They do not invent prices or corporate identifiers we have not published elsewhere on this site. The privacy notice for this marketing site is in section 11.
1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions explain how EPL Appliance Repairs (trading name of Electro Power Link) (“we”, “us”, “our”) quotes, books, attends, and warrants in-home appliance repair work across Sydney, NSW.
We operate from Marsfield and Castle Hill. You can reach us at info@eplappliances.com.au, (02) 9000 1148, or 1300 375 000.
We are an authorised agent for 21 appliance brands listed on our brands page. For those brands we work directly with the manufacturers, use genuine manufacturer parts where the job needs them, and send manufacturer-trained technicians. We do not claim authorisation for brands outside that published list.
2. Scope of these terms
These terms cover repair work we carry out, and the quotes, bookings, and warranty follow-up that go with that work. The privacy policy for this marketing site is in section 11. Job-specific notes from your technician on the day also apply.
Separate online services we link to — including booking (book.eplappliances.com.au), the customer portal (portal.eplappliances.com.au), B2B (b2b.eplappliances.com.au), and our callback request form (call.eplappliances.com.au) — are operated as distinct services. When you leave this marketing site for those products, their own notices and practices also apply.
This page does not invent prices, ABN details, or cancellation fees we have not published elsewhere on this site. If a figure is not written here or confirmed on the job, it is not a quote.
3. Quotes and service call fees
Phone and online quotes are free. A service call fee applies when a technician visits. The on-site fee covers attendance and diagnosis at the appliance — it is a different service from a phone or online quote.
We do not publish a dollar amount for the service call fee on this website, and we do not invent one in chat or on this page. Ask when you book or call if you want the current fee confirmed before a visit is scheduled.
A phone or online quote cannot replace diagnosis where the cause is uncertain. Repair options and pricing follow inspection. We do not promise that every repair is worthwhile before the fault is known.
4. Booking and attendance
You can book online, call us, or request a callback. Same-day and next-day visits are subject to technician availability in your suburb. Same-day attendance is not guaranteed.
We aim to call ahead before arrival where practical. Access to the appliance, parking notes, and any safety issues (for example gas smell, burning, electrical tripping, or water leaks) should be mentioned when you book so we can plan the visit.
Our typical office hours, as published on this site, are Monday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 9am–5pm (Sydney time). Field attendance depends on the booked window and traffic, not only those hours.
5. Diagnosis, approvals and work
We explain repair options and pricing before work begins. No surprise work — you approve before we proceed. If extra parts or labour become necessary after diagnosis, we confirm that with you first.
Some faults are not worth repairing, or the safer recommendation is replacement. We will say so after diagnosis rather than invent a fixed price up front.
Manufacturer warranty, consumer guarantees, and customer-paid repair are different pathways. If the appliance may still be under the manufacturer’s warranty, say so when you book and have proof of purchase ready where possible. Authorisation as a service agent does not by itself mean your job is a warranty job.
6. Repair warranty
If your appliance acts up again after a job, we are happy to take another look. The four conditions below are the same warranty terms we send by SMS when we schedule a warranty booking (your job number is included in that message).
- a) Three months on spare parts we replace. We offer a warranty of 3 months on spare parts replaced by us for any job.
- b) The same replaced part fails again. If, and only if, the identical part we previously replaced shows any faults again, our service team will re-attend to the job without any additional charge.
- c) The same issue comes back and no parts were replaced. If the same issue recurs within the warranty period and no spare parts were replaced during the previous job, then we will charge you for the parts replaced and any additional labour charges.
- d) A different issue within one month. If other issues occur to the unit in a month passing from our first attendance, other than what was the initial issue that we attended and repaired, as well as replaced parts, the service call would be free of charge, but only labour fee will be charged.
Have your job number ready when you request a warranty revisit. These conditions describe our repair warranty on work we have carried out. They do not replace manufacturer warranty or your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Manufacturer warranty and authorised-agent jobs
For authorised brands, we may be able to use manufacturer information and genuine parts channels. Coverage still depends on the appliance, the purchase, the fault, and the manufacturer’s or legal cover — not on a fault code alone.
Installation, use, external supply, and maintenance conditions may need to be checked. Do not assume a manufacturer will pay for a job until that pathway is confirmed.
8. Parts
Where the job needs them, we source genuine / OEM manufacturer parts through authorised channels for the 21 brands we are authorised to service.
If a suitable genuine part is not available, or an alternative is proposed, we will be clear about what is being fitted and that the repair warranty in section 6 still applies to parts we replace.
9. Australian Consumer Law
These terms, including the repair warranty in section 6, are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
10. This website and other EPL services
This marketing website at www.eplappliances.com.au is for information about our repair service. The on-site chat is a local FAQ helper. It answers from published site content and is not a live agent. It must not be treated as a quote.
Booking, tracking, B2B, and callback tools run on the subdomains listed in section 2. Use those services for job-specific actions.
11. Privacy Policy
This section is the privacy notice for this marketing site. It explains how EPL Appliance Repairs (trading name of Electro Power Link) handles personal information when you use www.eplappliances.com.au, contact us, apply for a job, or interact with our customer-service channels for in-home appliance repair across Sydney, NSW. We respect the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
It covers information collected through this website, including our careers application form, on-site FAQ chat, and any analytics we may enable. Separate online services we link to — booking, the customer portal, B2B, and the callback form listed in section 2 — are operated as distinct services. When you leave this marketing site for those products, their own notices apply to the information you provide there.
What we collect. We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions — mainly arranging appliance repairs, answering enquiries, recruiting, and improving this website. If you email or call us, we may hold your name, phone, email, suburb or address, appliance details, and the content of your message. This website’s contact page primarily directs you to book or call; it does not currently host a separate contact form.
Careers applications. When you apply via /careers we collect your name, phone, email, role of interest, cover note, and optional resume (PDF or Word). Submissions are emailed to us (via Resend) and may also trigger an SMS alert to our recruiting contact (via Twilio).
Booking, calling, and chat. Online booking and web calling happen on the book and call subdomains. Those services collect the details needed to schedule or connect a call. Our website chat is a local FAQ helper. It answers from published site content and does not send your messages to a live agent or third-party chatbot provider. Messages stay in your browser session unless you later contact us by another channel.
Technical and analytics data. Our host (Vercel) may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and requested URLs for security and reliability. We may enable Google Analytics (or similar) in future; if we do, it may collect usage metrics such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and referral source. Analytics identifiers are not used to sell your information.
How we use it. We use personal information to respond to enquiries and provide quotes or repairs; schedule visits and follow up on work; assess job applications; operate, secure and improve this website; meet legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations; and analyse aggregated site usage if analytics are enabled. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies. This site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for basic operation (for example load balancing or security) via our hosting platform. If we enable analytics, additional cookies or local storage identifiers may be set by that provider. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Booking, portal, B2B and call services may set their own cookies when you use them.
Who we share information with. We disclose personal information only where needed to run our business or where the law requires it. Typical recipients include Resend (email delivery for careers applications), Twilio (SMS alerts for careers applications), Vercel (hosting), operators of our booking, portal, B2B and call services when you use those products, manufacturers or parts suppliers where needed for authorised warranty or parts work, professional advisers and insurers under confidentiality obligations, and regulators or law enforcement when we are legally required to disclose information.
Some providers store or process data outside Australia. Website hosting and related infrastructure may involve processing in the United States (for example via Vercel). Email and SMS providers may also process data overseas. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to that information (APP 8), or we rely on another permitted basis under the Privacy Act.
Storage and retention. We hold personal information in electronic systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep it only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for legitimate business records, or as required by law. Careers applications that do not progress are typically retained for a limited recruitment period and then deleted or de-identified, unless we need to keep them longer for legal reasons.
Access and correction (APP 12 & 13). You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Email info@eplappliances.com.au with “Privacy request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to identify you and locate the records. We will respond within a reasonable time. In limited cases we may refuse where the Privacy Act allows; if so, we will explain why (unless it is unreasonable to do so) and tell you how to complain.
Complaints. If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first at info@eplappliances.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): oaic.gov.au.
Children. Our services are aimed at adults arranging appliance repairs or employment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing or recruitment through this website. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time — for example if our booking process, warranty SMS wording, or service area changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The warranty conditions that apply to a completed job are those in force when the work was carried out, plus your Australian Consumer Law rights.
